Accessible, person-centred counselling, in-person or from the comfort of your home.

Hello,
I am Sharlene,

Sharlene Warren Family Therapist

BAppSocSc (Counselling) | Email LinkedIn

I am a dedicated Family Therapist with a passion for helping individuals and families overcome problems so they can live their best lives. With several years of experience in the counselling profession, I am continuously enhancing my skills, staying up to date with the latest evidence-based practices in my field. Along with providing a safe and supportive environment, I am committed to creating a space that fosters growth and healing.

From a young age, I felt a calling to help others, and I have been actively involved in community services throughout my life. Whether it was volunteering with young mothers to foster secure attachment bonds and provide a nurturing environment for their infants or working closely with traumatised adolescents to help them express their emotions and develop healthier responses to triggers, I have always been committed to making a positive impact.

Having faced my own personal challenges, including learning difficulties, bullying, and overcoming the limitations imposed by labels, I understand the power of resilience firsthand. Because of this, I am dedicated to helping people become empowered, so they no longer feel confined by their self-imposed barriers and can embrace their true potential.

Throughout my career, I have continuously expanded my knowledge and understanding of the complexities behind human behaviour. I have delved into the workings of the conscious and unconscious mind and the profound effects of stress and trauma on individuals.

With a compassionate and empathetic approach during a counselling session, I draw on evidence-based tools tailored to each client's unique needs. Together, we develop practical strategies to help navigate difficult times and cultivate resilience.

My ultimate goal as a Family Therapist is to foster a sense of connection and harmony within the family unit, promoting growth and wellbeing for all. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, I am committed to helping individuals and families work towards a brighter future for all.

  • Online Family Therapy has gained popularity as a convenient and accessible option for families seeking therapy. Through secure online platforms, families can engage in therapy sessions from the comfort of their own homes. This eliminates the need for travel and allows for flexible scheduling. Online family therapy provides a confidential and supportive space for family members to address their concerns, improve communication, and work towards positive change. The online format offers onvenience and accessibility, making therapy more attainable for families, regardless of their technological proficiency.

  • Phone Family Therapy is an excellent means of communication for individuals who are not tech-savvy or prefer a more traditional approach to therapy. It provides a convenient and accessible option for families seeking therapy without the need for online video calls or platforms. By utilising phone calls, family members can engage in therapy sessions from the comfort of their own homes, eliminating any potential technological barriers. Phone therapy allows for open and confidential communication, providing a safe space for family members to address their concerns, improve relationships, and work towards positive change. It offers a familiar and comfortable format for those who prefer a more traditional approach to Family Therapy.

  • Off-site counselling offers a flexible and refreshing approach to therapy, taking place outside the traditional office setting. It allows individuals to engage in counselling sessions in various locations, such as a quiet coffee shop or amidst the tranquillity of nature. This alternative setting provides a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, promoting a sense of ease and openness during the therapeutic process. Off-site counselling encourages a more natural and organic flow of conversation, allowing individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions in a different context. It offers the opportunity to connect with nature or enjoy the ambience of a public space, enhancing the therapeutic experience.

Connection is why we’re here. We are hardwired to connect with others, it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives, and without it, there is suffering.”
