Frequently Asked Questions

  • Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation that takes you on a journey down to delta waves, accessing your subconscious mind for suggestions while maintaining control and awareness. It’s like driving home on autopilot, in a trance-like state.

  • In a client-centred approach to counselling, the focus is primarily on the present experiences and concerns of the client. While the past may be explored if it is relevant to the client's current struggles, it is not a requirement to extensively delve into past experiences. The emphasis is on creating a safe and supportive environment for the client to explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals. The client is empowered to determine the direction and depth of their exploration, including how much they want to address their past.

  • Yes, so long as they have their own NDIS support coordinator, they can request my services. I hold an NDIS Worker Screening Check – Yellow Card.

  • Each counselling session is private, and information will not be shared with an external body unless clients express harm to themselves or others and/or they have been subpoenaed by a court of law.

  • The Australian Counselling Association’s (ACA) code of ethics and practices; which provides guideline standards of professional conduct when working with clients.
